(VOVworld) – The Government Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and the Steering Committee for the Northwestern region reviewed their coordination program last year and discussed plans for this year.

The two committees agreed to work closely together to carry out the strategy on ethnic minority affairs until 2020 and formulate projects on sustainable development in the Northwestern, Central Highlands, and southwestern regions. They will also share information concerning ethnic minorities and religious affairs and consult with the party politburo and secretariat about policies to improve the quality of life for migrants in the central highlands and northwestern regions in the coming year.
