Workshop discusses Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark’s sustainable tourism development
(VOVWORLD) -Hundreds of delegates from the UNESCO Vietnam, non-governmental organizations and provincial tourism administrators have gathered to discuss sustainable tourism development initiatives for Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.

They suggested measures to ensure decent livelihoods for locals, natural disaster preparedness and environmental protection through international best practices and exhibits of local specialties. Chairman of the UNESCO Global Geopark Council, Guy Martini, said the number of visitors to Cao Bang has increased to 1 million after UNESCO recognition of Non Nuoc Cao Bang as a global geopark over the past 2 years. He said he expects to share inputs and initiatives to be implemented in Cao Bang to ensure its sustainable tourism growth.
