Workshop on Vietnam’s 12th National Party Congress opens in France
(VOVworld)- A workshop on Vietnam’s 12
th National Party Congress took place in Paris on Friday. Organized by the Gabriel Peri Fund, an independent research agency in France, the workshop drew the participation of more than 150 delegates from major parties and organizations as well as scholars, businessmen, and overseas Vietnamese in France.

Pham Xuan Son, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s External Relations Commission headed the Vietnamese delegation to attend the event. In his open speech, Michel Maso, Director of the Gabriel Peri Fun praised positive developments in Vietnam following the success of the 12
th National Party Congress. The workshop contributed to boosting relationship between Vietnam and France and increasing the French people and scholars’ understanding about Vietnam.
At the event, Vietnamese speakers outlined Vietnam’s internal and external policies and its orientations in the near future and reviewed Vietnam’s 30 years of renewal. French speakers praised Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and expressed concern about complications in the region and the world as well as in the East Sea. They supported Vietnam’s stance in resolving disputes through peaceful means in line with international law including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
