Mohammad Salim, Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) of West Bengal, delivered a speech highlighting Vietnam's flexible foreign policy since the era of President Ho Chi Minh. He praised Vietnam's diplomatic approach during the years of national liberation, noting the concept of Bamboo Diplomacy, a metaphor for a flexible and adaptive foreign policy rooted in people-to-people relations.
Dr. Tillotama Mukherjee, Head of the Department of Political Science at Shyamaprasad College, also spoke at the workshop, elaborating on the Bamboo Diplomacy concept, which was notably advocated by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
