(VOVworld) - Leaders from around the world have condemned terror attacks at a Tunisian resort, a mosque in Kuwait and a factory in France. The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon condemns in the strongest terms such terrorist attacks, adding that those responsible must be swiftly brought to justice.  The EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini called for the Arab world and Europe to stay united, noting the response will be more unity and expressing very clearly, as an alliance of civilizations, that there can be no way in which a religion be misused to tear people apart."

The White House also vowed to "fight the scourge of terrorism" and condemned the heinous attacks in the three countries. It added that the US has been in contact with appropriate counterparts in all three countries to offer any necessary support".  Leaders of several western countries including Germany, Spain, the UK, and Italy shared their concerns over the brutal attacks, calling them consequences of a misguided ideological system. The governments of Canada, Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil have also strongly denounced the attacks.

Leaders in the Islamic world also criticized the strikes with Al-Azhar, a leading Sunni Muslim institution in Egypt saying the shooting in Tunisia was a "violation of all religious and humanitarian norms."

The Al-Azhar, one of the oldest Muslim centers of learning, also condemned the suicide bombing in Kuwait and called on the "International community to defeat this terrorist group through all available means." It also said that the group has done a lot to malign Islam.

Amidst escalating terror attacks, some countries have raised their terrorism alerts and asked their citizens to stay vigilant. The Italian government has lifted terror alert to its highest level. The French Embassy in Tunisia called on French people there to be careful and avoid travels and muster.
