A journey to Dien Bien Phu departs from Hanoi to Hoa Binh, Son La province (Photo: toquoc.vn)

They departed from different provinces and cities and will converge in Dien Bien Phu city on Friday.

The young people will visit historical sites, and present gifts to revolutionary contributors, policy beneficiaries, and disadvantaged students.

The journey is expected to raise 300,000 USD to support Dien Bien province and nearby localities.

Mr. Nguyen Thai An, head of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Commission for Communication and Education, said: “The journey involves social work. Visits to historical and revolutionary relic sites will teach the young people about Vietnam’s glorious history.”
