Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien spoke at the opening ceremony: “Singing is an art for all people but is also an academic discipline that requires vocal artists to train themselves intensively at school and on stage to win public acclaim. This contest is, I think, the first challenge of their professional music career, where young singers can gain experience for future performances.”
The contestants will compete in 3 categories: classical music, folk music, and pop.
