Team Lee’s members gathered in Dien Bien province in late April before the Dien Bien Phu Victory celebration.
Le Quyet Thang, the Head of Team Lee group, said: “It took us 12 hours to travel to Dien Bien province. We are really excited because this is the first time we have visited Dien Bien as a group. We gave 30 restored photos of heroic martyrs to the Museum. 2 photos are in a very poor condition and cannot be restored.”
Restoring photos with historical details was not easy for Team Lee’s members, who are all young boys born in peaceful time. Phung Quang Trung said using the 4.0 technology, Team Lee’s members wanted to bring to life the portraits of martyrs.
“The old photos were blurred. The most difficult thing is to restore details of the military uniforms. We consulted the opinions of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum for several days to ensure accuracy. By restoring photos, we hope to be a bridge connecting the past, present, and future so that young people do not forget history. We hope to inspire other young people and they will also show gratitude to the families of martyrs,” said Trung.
