The information was released at a press conference held on Friday in Hanoi. The jury had made secret votes to choose the top 20 nominees for online public voting, scheduled from February 10 to 29 at the address: www.tainangtrevietnam.vn. The organisers, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Vietnam Fund for Young Talents, said  the voting results will serve as a reference for the organisers to choose the top 10 in March. The rest of the nominees will receive the title of “Potential Youth Face 2019”. Nguyen Ngoc Luong,  Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said: "The award’s organizers welcomed more nominees with much more outstanding achievements this year. This award is expected to encourage the community, especially the young people, to contribute more to community and national development. This is also a great way for young Vietnamese to show their sense of responsibility towards their communities and society."

The award ceremony will take place on March 26 to mark the founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
