(VOVworld) – Thue Thien Hue province on Sunday hosted a ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of Hue relic complex’s recognition as a world cultural heritage site and the 10th anniversary of Nha Nhac royal court music’s recognition as humankind’s intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said: “The preservation and promotion of Hue heritage values should be continued based on what has been achieved over the past 20 years. This is to fulfill the tasks set out by the plan for preservation and promotion of Hue imperial city for the 2010-2020 period, which was approved by the Prime Minister. In addition, it is necessary to build a master plan for the relic site to harmonize the needs of development and sustainable preservation”.

Since 1998 earnings from entrance tickets to Hue relic sites have reached 525 billion VND, contributing to reinvestment in conservation work.
