90th anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day marked
(VOVworld)- The Academy of Journalism and Communications held a meeting to mark the 90th anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day in Hanoi on Saturday. In his address, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan highlighted the press’s important role in national construction and defense. Nhan asked the Academy of Journalism and Communications to improve its training quality: “It’s important to improve the quality of journalists. Our academy is the cradle of Vietnamese journalism and Vietnamese press is the cradle of the revolution. We need to renovate our curriculum and training methodology”.
On the occasion, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education Dinh The Huynh visited the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, the Vietnam News Agency, the People’s Daily newspaper, the Voice of Vietnam, the People’s Police newspaper and the People’s Army newspaper. While visiting the Voice of Vietnam, Mr. Huynh said:“I hope that the Voice of Vietnam will continue upholding its 70-year history and experiences accumulated over the past 70 years. In recent years, with its increasing staff and technology, the Voice of Vietnam has better fulfilled its tasks and diversified media platforms to become a strong multi-media complex”.

The same day, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Municipal Party Committee Le Thanh Hai visited the Voice of Vietnam.

VOV President Nguyen Dang Tien said with its 4 media platforms, the Voice of Vietnam has better served audience: “We will do our utmost to develop further.
