(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese diplomatic missions in multiple countries have organized activities to celebrate Vietnam’s 78th National Day, September 2.

The Vietnamese Embassy in France and the Montreuil administration laid wreath at President Ho Chi Minh monument in Montreux park, Montreuil. In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang highlighted the significance of the celebration of National Day this year as it marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 10th anniversary of strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.
Thang said: "Since early this year, many activities have been held to celebrate these significant milestones including the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement in January and the 12th conference on cooperation between Vietnamese and French localities in April in Hanoi, many other cultural events as well as many bilateral visits and exchanges by both sides. The activities have contributed to strengthening the substantive relationship between the two countries."
In Prague, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic held a celebration of National Day drawing more than 500 guests. The delegates enjoyed Vietnamese traditional music and culinary culture. They also visited a photo exhibition of Vietnam, its land and people, Vietnam's international integration and development, as well as historical documents about the relationship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic, Nguyen Duy Nhien, said: "National Day, September 2, is a great festival for the Vietnamese people. The entire Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic is very excited to welcome the anniversary. We will continue to enhance the position of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic to be on par with other peoples in the world."
On August 29, in the capital Colombo, the Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka celebrated National Day of Vietnam. At the event, Vietnamese traditional dishes, ceramic and lacquer products were introduced while unique Vietnamese music and dance performances were performed by Sri Lankan artists and children.
