(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Union of Literature and Art Associations has organized a pilgrimage to Dien Bien Phu for more than 100 artists from across the nation.

This is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 60^th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory on May 7^th. Deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Communication and Education Commission Nguyen The Ky said that together with the army and the people, artists contributed significantly to the victory by encouraging national pride and fighting spirit of soldiers in the battlefields. He said: “Back to Dien Bien today, we believe that the artists will revive connections between the past and present. We hope that the trip will help the artists produce new works of art.”
