Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival 2023 opens
(VOVWORLD) - Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival 2023 opened on Friday at Ban Gioc Tourist Area, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province with a water procession ceremony to pray for national peace and good weather for agriculture.

An exhibition was opened the same day to introduce local products, specialties and cuisines while many sports activities, folk games and chestnut-picking event were held.
The Festival aims to promote the beauty of Cao Bang widely after Non Nuoc Cao Bang receives Global Geopark title certificate.
Sam Viet An, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “With the development of Cao Bang tourism in recent years and based on the orientation of making tourism a breakthrough for Cao Bang's economy, we’ve upgraded the festival to the provincial level."
This year, in addition to the water procession and some traditional activities, Cao Bang will organize a large-scale art program with musical performances, and light shows by Ban Gioc waterfall.
There will be a performance of Then singing – a special ritual practice of ethnic minority groups - and Tinh musical instrument with the participation of 1,000 people to set a Vietnamese record, Mr. An noted.
Ban Gioc Waterfalls Tourism Festival 2023 is free for visitors in three days, the organizing board said.
