(VOVworld) – The 2015 Red Journey with the message “Connecting Vietnamese blood” was held on Friday and Saturday in Ly Son island district in Quang Ngai province as part of nationwide activities to promote blood donation.  More than 30 local volunteers and residents with rare blood types including O, B, A, and AB were tested and selected to the island’s “mobile blood bank”. They will serve as a vital blood source on the island in case of emergency. On this occasion, the campaign members presented 20 gift sets to disadvantaged families.
