Bui Xuan Phai Award promotes love for Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) -The Bui Xuan Phai – For the Love of Hanoi Award, was announced on Wednesday, honoring authors, works, deeds, and ideas that contribute to Vietnam’s capital city.

The Grand Prize is given to teacher, collector, and researcher Nguyen Ba Dam, who has dedicated his life to promoting the capital city’s lifestyle. Mr. Dam said: “I am very glad over the public’s attention. Everybody is obliged to do good things for the city and the country.”
The Work Prize is given to a poem collection “I have you” by Phan Vu and a documentary entitled “Mon Hanoi” (My Hanoi) by Noel Poirier, former French Ambassador to Vietnam.
The Idea Prize is awarded to a proposal to preserve and develop the Vuon Chuoi archeological site by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Huy. The Job Prize goes to the Phung Hung Mural Street by the Korean Foundation and the UN Habitat.
The Award was initiated in 2008 by the Sports and Culture Newspaper and the family of the late painter Bui Xuan Phai.
