Can Tho City launches “no more new HIV infection” movement
(VOVworld)-Can Tho City has launched a movement to prevent new cases of HIV infection in response to the World AIDS Day.
Speaking at the meeting on Saturday, Deputy Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said Vietnam’s national HIV/AIDS control program by 2020 and vision by 2030 considers HIV/AIDS dangerous epidemic for community health. Vietnam has controlled the spread of HIV in the community and ensured a low contraction rate regionally. The UNAIDS chief representative in Vietnam Tony Lisle pledged support for Vietnam in the prevention of HIV/AIDS and welcomed Vietnam’s move to contain the disease sustainably.
