(VOVworld)-Ho Chi Minh City has hosted a seminar to review the implementation of a Party Politbureau regulation on regional linkages.

Delegates discussed ways to ensure more productive connectivity between the northwest, central highlands and southwest regions in socio-economic development and planning. They called for more consultation to bring about joint benefits and sustainable socio-economic growth while speeding up industrialization and modernization. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc:
“Key economic zones should be closer connected. Scientific and technological researches will serve agricultural and forestry production, climate change impact mitigation and natural disaster preparedness. Immigration work must be coordinated to ensure political and social security in the regions.”
