(VOVworld) – More than 800 books and documents are on display at an exhibition on the Vietnamese Communist Party (CPV) at the National Library in Hanoi. The exhibition features the establishment and development of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past 86 years. Duong Phuong Anh, a student at Hanoi Law University, told VOV:
"Books and documents on display are very precious as they reflect the very first days of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh’s important role in the Party’s establishment on February 3
rd, 1930. For the first time in my life I saw historical records of the Party including its Political Platform, Statutes, and policies and guidelines in its early days. They show the Party’s leadership during national revolutions and struggles that resulted in today’s national independence and freedom."
The event introduces Vietnamese milestones and achievements under the Party’s leadership since 1930, especially during the 30-year Doi Moi (renewal) process. Hoang Hong Duong is a history teacher at Hanoi’s Nguyen Gia Thieu High School: "Pictures on display reflect the strong development of the Communist Party of Vietnam through every Congress, which significantly contributed to national development. I believe that new breakthroughs will be made at this Congress."
