(VOVworld) - With a 20-minute spectacular performance, Melrose Pyrotechnics of the US overwhelmed four other teams to claim the 6th Danang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC) title. On the second day of the competition on April 30, Tamaya Kitahara of Japan which ranked third at the competition in 2010 painted a colorful picture of the Japanese garden over Danang’s skies and the Han River. Their performance received thunderous applause from the audience.

However, Melrose Pyrotechnics' performance was the centerpiece of this year’s competition. Drawing experience from the 2010 competition, the US team entertained the audience with skillfully spectacular displays lighting up Da Nang’s skies at night.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2013 concluded successfully on April 30th. Two first runners-up were Parente Fireworks of Italy and TamayaKitahara of Japan. The 2 second runners-up were Vietnam and Russia. The competition drew close to 400,000 tourists, up 15% from the last event. The next competition will be held in 2015.
