(VOVworld) – More than 800 books and documents are on display at an exhibition on the Vietnamese Communist Party through congresses at the National Library in Hanoi.

The exhibition opened on Friday to welcome the 12^th Party Congress and marked the 86^th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The exhibits feature the establishment of the Vietnam Communist Party, the Vietnam Communist Party’s role in national liberation and reunification and in renewal process and international integration and the Vietnam Communist Party through congresses. Nguyen Xuan Dung, deputy director of the National Library, said: “The exhibition showcases books, newspapers and magazines, photos and videos on the achievements of the Vietnam Communist Party over the past 86 years. There are some documents on the uprising of Vietnamese people before the Party was established. This emphasized the role of the Party, showing that any uprising could not be successful without proper methods and theories”.
