(VOVworld) - A seminar to learn experiences in climate change response took place yesterday in Hanoi. Participants debated and proposed solutions to involve local people in building a social protection network, support people , who have lost their jobs due to natural disasters. Experts suggested that Vietnam should pay greater attention to the links between disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, and social protection as poor and disadvantaged people are the most vulnerable.
The seminar titled “Improving Climate and Disaster Resilience by Linking Social Protection, Disaster Risk Management, and Climate Change Adaptation” was co-organized by Vietnam Development Information Center and the East Pacific Disaster Risk Management team.
