Themed ‘Da Lat and Flowers’, various activities will be held during the biennial cultural and tourism festival to promote Da Lat’s flowers, flower industry and tourism, while boosting the brand "Da Lat - miraculous crystallization from  good soil".

As part of the festival from December 20 to 24, there will be a conference to promote the links between vegetable and flower production, an international flower and bonsai exhibition,  a Vietnam-Korea culture and art exchange program, and a program to honor Da Lat’s architectural heritage.

Ton Thien San, Chairman of Lam Dong provincial People’s Committee and head of the festival’s organizing board, said: “This will be the 8^th run of the festival. Da Lat seems to be the first festival city of Vietnam, which represents great economic value, and has boosted the city’s tourism development, honored local horticulturists, and encouraged the flower industry to grow. Over the years, Da Lat’s economic growth has reached more than 10% annually. The festival has attracted an increasing number of visitors to Da Lat. Last year it welcomed 6 million tourists while the city’s population is between 25,000 and 30,000 people.”

A Lam Dong Tea and Silk Culture Week will be organized in Bao Loc to promote local trade, tourism, and tea and silk production.
