Participants shared success stories about the creation of digital products that are helping make changes in Vietnam and the world.
They looked into the development of new technology-based products like the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and the commercialization of these products in domestic and international markets.
They also discussed barriers, challenges, and breakthrough solutions to providing more products and services on new digital platforms for current and emerging markets.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said he hopes that the fast development of entrepreneurs and digital technology businesses with digital solutions, technologies, and applications will bring about reforms and breakthroughs for all socio-economic aspects and secure Vietnam’s foothold in the world.
Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung insisted that digital applications and digital transformation applications for various industries are the most important in digital economic development. But the question is who will do this?
“These must be network operators and digital technology businesses. Developing digital applications for industries is to create ‘Make in Vietnam’ products. Network and digital technology businesses must consider this a research and development activity,” said Mr. Hung, adding, “The market for 5G applications will reach 670 billion USD by 2025, which will help network operators’ revenue increase up to 50% compared to that in 2020.”
To that end, tens of thousands of Vietnamese digital technology businesses should participate in the sectors that create digital applications to help digital transformation and the digital economy to contribute to national modernization, said Minister Hung.
At the forum, the Ministry of Information and Communications announced and presented the “Make in Vietnam” awards to honor the Vietnamese businesses and organizations with prominent digital technology products, solutions, and services.
In addition, exhibitions were held to introduce “Make in Vietnam” digital products.
