(VOVworld)-The Steering Board of the "Fund for Beloved Truong Sa" met in Hanoi on Tuesday for the first time. The fund is launched to improve the entire Vietnamese people's awareness of the role of Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago in particular and Vietnam's sea and islands in general. It also aims to mobilize all available resources and the strength of the whole political system and community to safeguard national sovereignty. The Steering Board is headed by Deputy Defense Minister, Admiral Nguyen Van Hien.
