During a ceremony in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province, on Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh said the EU market imports over 42% of Vietnamese coffee, while Vietnamese coffee brands account for only 8.5% of the EU market share.
He urged Vietnamese businesses to improve products’ quality and refinery, and state product origin to meet the EU’s standards. Deputy Minister Doanh said, “I hope Vietnamese businesses, localities, and farmers will fully understand Vietnam’s commitments to the EVFTA and countries’ requirements. We should apply advanced technology to the value chain of farmers, cooperatives, and businesses.”
