Global media covers Vietnam’s reunification milestone
(VOVworld) – The 40th anniversary of South Vietnam’s liberation and Vietnam’s national reunification made headlines in news agencies and media outlets in many countries around the world.

French L’Humanité newspaper ran series of articles to praise Vietnam’s great victory under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Journalist Bruno Phillip of Le Monde newspaper in Ho Chi Minh city wrote an article describing the historical moment when the first tank 390 crashed into the main gate of the Independence Palace on April 30, 1975 which completely marked the fall of Sai Gon regime. Some French TV channels including Arte, TV5 and AFP News Agency reported on Vietnam’s national reunification day as well as present situation in Vietnam.
Thai newspapers also covered Vietnam’s celebrations of its 40th anniversary of Southern liberation and national reunification. Thai TV, radio and newspapers highlighted the ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh city, saying that the victory on April 30th 1975 was the milestone to completely reunify Vietnam.
The celebrations also made headlines in stories published by Mexico’s Notimex news agency and Argentina’s Clarin, Pagina 12 and La Voz newspapers.
