The Hanoi municipal Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism took this occasion to open a festival this weekend honoring Hanoi cultural heritages, 16 traditional handicraft villages, folk art pieces, and the integration of folk culture in contemporary life.
Nguyen Duc Chung, Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, said: “Fulfilling UNESCO criteria in the ‘Design’ category requires Hanoi to revise a plan to facilitate designers, artisans, and all Hanoians in creating and participating in creative spaces.”
