The festival from April 26 to May 2 will introduce unique craft villages such as jewelry, embroidery, painted enamel, bronze casting, Ao dai tailoring, bamboo making, conical hats, lanterns, kites and cooking as well as some crafts from Japan and South Korea. As traditional medicine is one of Hue’s characteristics, oriental doctors will show their talents during the festival.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of Hue city’s People’s Committee, said the city wants more and more foreign partners to take part in the festival: “Hue city has established relations with 18 cities in 10 countries such as Japan, South Korea, France, the US, Brazil, Turkey, Belgium and 10 international organizations. We aim to make the festival an international event where traditional crafts from various countries are showcased. This is also an opportunity for us to exchange culture with international friends”.

Hue Traditional Crafts Festival is expected to be attended by 17 groups of craftsmen from 11 foreign cities and international organizations.
