(VOVworld) – The Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) held a conference on integrating green growth targets with provincial socio-economic development plans. CIEM Director Nguyen Dinh Cung said it was necessary to adopt a new approach to sustainable development goals and international integration.

Development should be in line with protecting the environment and improving community life. Vietnam has been actively involved in regional and international green growth initiatives. Experts said provinces should consider suitable green growth models and have measures in place to mobilize resources for green growth.
They should also conduct studies on the environment, pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions and take appropriate measures to promote scientific and technological development for environmentally friendly production.
