(VOVWORLD) - The International Fireworks Festival 2018 will kick off in Da Nang in late April. Under the theme “The legends of bridges”, the festival will span 2 months, starting from April 30th, according to a press conference held on Wednesday in the city.
The festival will highlight the images of bridges and architectural miracles reflecting history, traditions, and cultures of participants. The event will include 5 nights of competitions on different topics: Love, Time, Happiness, Desire, and Friendship. The festival has attracted 8 teams representing Vietnam, Poland, France, the US, Italy, Sweden, Portugal and Hongkong (China).

"There will be numerous side activities, including street festivals, parades of bridge models of participating countries, and art performances by university students.", said Do Thanh Hai, the program's General Director.
Vietnam and Poland will compete on the festival’s opening day. The two best teams will perform at the closing and award ceremonies, scheduled on June 30th.
