(VOVworld) - Delegates proposed specific solutions to improve criteria to evaluate Vietnam’s socioeconomic development plans at an international seminar that opened on Tuesday in Hanoi. They agreed on the importance of improving the roles and responsibilities of agencies in charge as well as the quality of information sources to create a united and effective socioeconomic information system. The criteria should be improved to meet Vietnam’s development and international integration requirements. Experts emphasized that improvements in socioeconomic indicators need to be tied to innovations in the State apparatus, the legal environment, and human resources, to provide the most accurate figures. The seminar was co-organized by the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, the National Assembly’s Economic Committee, World Bank, and the National Economics University.
