The dialogue provided updated information on scientific and technological development strategy for the period 2011-2020, a scientific and technological management model, technology transfer, and nuclear energy development. Regarding the quality of gasoline after several vehicle-burning cases, Minister Quan said that Ministry of Science and Technology has examined many gasoline samples from the burning cases, and all of them were qualified.  Minister Quan Said: “I have discussed with a very famous scientist about the recent mass vehicle-burning cases, and I have noticed some very useful ideas that we have later need to research carefully. When the burning cases taking place, the samples of the remaining gasoline are qualified but there are possibilities that the gasoline which was using earlier may cause the burning. However, the difficulty that we are facing right now is that we can’t examine the used up gasoline. I think from now we need to tighten the control of gasoline to prevent any more cases of vehicle-burning.”

After nearly two hours of online dialogue, Minister Quan has cleared up many matters that the Ministry of Science and Technology are managing such as the Song Tranh 2 hydro-power plant, and development of nuclear power in Vietnam.
