(VOV) – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the United Nations Development Program on Friday held a workshop to launched a national target program on environment improvement.

With the investment capital of more than 5 trillion VND, the program aims to overcome and improve the environment in seriously polluted craft villages. It also helps to deal with environmental pollution in 100 areas polluted by pesticide and treat waste water from urban areas dumped directly into the rivers. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Head of the General Environment Department’s Waste management and Environment Improvement said the implementation of the program will help improve people’s health and life.
