(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced "One million signatures for food safety", a major activity in the "Action for food safety" communication program.

At a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday night, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said the ministry has implemented a number of policies to support businesses, food manufacturers and distributors in ensuring food safety. It helps businesses construct store branches, apply advanced management to track food origin and ensure its safety and quality. Businesses have been given consultancy in piloting safe-food markets.

The program has received enthusiastic response from media agencies, consumers, and corporations including TH Group, Central Group, and Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding.
