President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday celebrated in Vietnam and abroad
(VOVWORLD) - An exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh opened on Friday at the Vietnam National Museum of History, part of activities marking the President’s 129th birthday.
The exhibition features the life, revolutionary career, ideology, and morality of Ho Chi Minh as an example of a communist soldier. Museum Director Nguyen Van Cuong said: “More than 300 documents and objects are on display, portraying Ho Chi Minh as the beloved President of Vietnam, an outstanding leader, and a world cultural celebrity. The exhibition is divided into two themes: Ho Chi Minh and his dedication to the Vietnamese nation, and a personal portrait of Ho Chi Minh”.
For the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth anniversary, the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt held a ceremony Thursday to launch a new book about the 55th anniversary of the Vietnam-Egypt friendship.

The book, by Egyptian writer Refat Khaled in Arabic and English, includes 2 chapters featuring assessments by Egyptian politicians and experts of the Vietnam-Egypt ties and President Ho Chi Minh. Writer Refat Khaled said: “The book is good for the relations between Egypt and Vietnam. It opens aspects to increase bilateral relations between Egypt and Vietnam in many aspects: culture, economics, politics, trade. You know Vietnam is a tiger in Asia’s economy. During the visits by President Al-Sisi to Vietnam in 2017 and Vietnamese President’s visit to Egypt in 2018, many important agreements were signed. This political relations increase trade, which is good for Egypt and Vietnam”.
