(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) hosted its 12th press award ceremony for the Cause of Great National Unity in Hanoi on Thursday.

At the function, VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan praised the contributions of the press to all aspects of life.

He said: “Great national unity should create consensus in society to effectively implement development policies, tap people’s creativity, and evoke feedback. We hope that in the future more reporters and news agencies will participate in the press contest for the Cause of Great National Unity.”

A total of 95 prizes were presented to individual journalists and teams of journalists. Reporter Lan Phuong of VOVworld won a third prize for a piece entitled “Truong Sa sea route brings us confidence”.
