To use the service, visitors put on headphones, which are connected to handheld devices, and select a language. Le Xuan Kieu, Head of the Temple of Literature’s Culture and Science Centre, said: “Like many other tourist attractions, we do not have a standardized guide system. Moreover, the site welcomes a lot of visitors of different nationalities, but we mainly use English for any service. We developed this advanced audio guide system with the consultation and assistance of experts”.
Visitor Nguyen Huu Bui from Hanoi, said: “I think this guide system will be helpful to visitors to the Temple of Literature because there are visitors from many different countries”.
A new ticket booth and signage system designed by French experts have also been put into operation.
The Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam, was built in the 11th century.
