(VOVworld) – Africa and the Middle East have recently emerged as Vietnam’s promising export markets.

At a workshop on trade and investment prospects with African and Middle Eastern countries on Wednesday in Hanoi, Do Kim Lang, Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said: "Those markets have great import demands and a large population, with various languages and religions. The Trade Promotion Department has provided information on these markets to Vietnamese enterprises to further exploit its advantages for them". 

According to the participants, in order to penetrate into these markets, Vietnamese businesses need to do market research and participate in trade expos. They should also have proper market penetration strategies and produce high quality export items in line with environmental and quality standards and consumption practices.
