USAID finances 560 million USD for Da Nang to protect water resources, reduce plastic waste
(VOVWORLD) - Da Nang and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) held an online signing ceremony on Friday to launch two projects to protect water sources and reduce plastic waste in the city.

The projects are part of the local initiative program funded by USAID worth 560 million USD. The 3-year water resource protection project began in March this year and is underway until July 2023.
Da Nang has identified the conservation of water resources, management of plastic wastes, and domestic waste sorting at a grassroots level as important criteria for turning Da Nang into an environmentally-friendly city.
