(VOVworld) - Valentine’s Day has become one of the most popular celebrations among young Vietnamese people.

Gift shops in Hanoi are offering numerous types of chocolate, jewelry, and cuddly toys, the most favorite gifts for young couples beside roses. Le Thi Thuy Ngan, who has a flower shop in Ton Duc Thang street, says: "People often choose fresh flowers on Valentine’s Day. Because of this year’s unfavorable weather conditions, flowers can not meet consumers’ demand in term of quality and quantity. We have prepared preserved flowers and packed them in attractive boxes. We have good sales because the flowers can maintain its blossoming shape and original colors."

Minh Nhat, a student of the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, shares his views: "Valentine’s Day has become a popular celebration among young people. It’s a significant event, especially if we thoroughly understand its meaning and honestly express our sentiment to our lover."
