Victory Day over Fascism celebrated in Vietnam and worldwide
(VOVworld) – The Vietnam People’s Army newspaper today ran an article praising the glorious victories of the Vietnamese and Russian people and bilateral friendship. To mark the 68th anniversary of the victory against fascism, the article said Vietnam’s Reunification Day on April 30th and Russia’s Victory Day over Fascism marked the beginning of peaceful springs for the two countries. Memories of the two nations’ glorious feats of arms are precious spiritual assets for their younger generations. For Russians, the Victory Day over Fascism is a time to remember predecessors who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s future. People will not forget that among the martyrs of Russia’s patriotic war were Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who fought in a battle on the outskirts of Moscow in 1941. According to the article, regardless of their nation, everyone should remember their nation’s triumphs, be proud of those who sacrificed their lives for their country, and refuse to allow others to distort their history.
