The “Lights off” ceremony took place at August Revolution Square in Hanoi from 20:30 – 21:30. The campaign included an exchange with the campaign’s ambassadors and education on efficient energy saving as well as a green creativity contest for students’ videos and short clips on the environment. This is the 10th year Vietnam joined the campaign to raise public awareness on the environment and climate change response. Nguyen Hoang Anh from Hanoi is a campaign participant: “I have joined the Earth Hour Campaign for 4 years. This is a significant movement to protect the environment. If each household turns off one light, the whole country could save a lot of energy.”
