(VOVworld) – The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade shared Vietnam’s experience in energy implementation at the 11th APEC Energy Ministers Meeting in Beijing on Tuesday.

Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung, who led the Vietnamese delegation, joined 29 other delegations at the meeting and delivered a speech at a session themed “Building an effective and sustainable energy community”. The Vietnamese delegation focused on implementing the Law on Energy Efficiency and Conservation and the National Target Programme on Energy Efficiency and Conservation. Vietnam underlined raising public awareness of energy conservation, expanding the application of new technology, setting up an energy management system, providing technical assistance for industries with high energy consumption, such as steel, cement, and fertilizer, and implementing a program to promote energy efficiency standards and labelling in the construction and transport sectors.
