Vietnam commits to further contribution to global food security
(VOVWORLD) - The 37th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will be held in Sri Lanka from Monday to Thursday. High on the agenda will be food security and transformation of the food systems.

Participating in the conference, Vietnam will make proposals on priorities and actions in preventing food loss and waste, transforming fishing and aquaculture towards sustainability, and strengthening resilience through transforming food systems.
Vietnam commits to further contributing to global food security through maintaining stable exports of rice and other agricultural products.
The Vietnamese government is implementing the National Action Plan on Food Systems Transformation toward Transparency, Responsibility, and Sustainability by 2030.
The APRC-37 conference aims to accelerate progress in transforming food systems across the region amid economic and climate crises that are hindering progress in achieving the SDGs, especially the goal of ending poverty and reducing inequality.
