Vietnam continues to restructure state-owned enterprises
(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has hailed the restructuring of State owned enterprises as a key political task for this year and next.
He told a meeting to review efforts on the SOEs restructuring in Hanoi on Tuesday that a proposal to equitise 432 state companies should be implemented in earnest. He called for further reduction of the number of enterprises with 100% of state capital contribution and more divestiture in state capital dominant companies: “Ministries and provinces must uphold their accountability in SOE restructuring as requested by Party resolutions. Restructuring must be carried out with unity, determination and a resolute mindset.”
The Prime Minister said that more government resolutions will be issued to promote the restructuring of SOEs and their classification for equitization.
