(VOVworld) – The National Assembly’s Committee on Security and National Defense met on Tuesday to verify the draft law on foreigners’ entry, exit and residence in Vietnam. After 10 years of implementation, the Ordinance on foreigners’ entry, exit and residence in Vietnam has contributed greatly to Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy of independence, self reliance, peace, cooperation, and development. Related procedures have been simplified to attract more foreign investors and tourists.
National Assembly deputies said specific regulations on visa requirements and residence cards particularly for those who come to Vietnam to work, study and invest are needed. Major General Ngo Van Hung, a member of the Committee on Security and National Defense said: “We should clarify the responsibility of the relevant agencies at all levels to improve the management of foreigners.”
The deputies also discussed the conditions for visa granting, entry, exit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam.
