On Wednesday, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to honor 45 outstanding teachers who perform excellently in education and family care.

Teacher Mai Hoang Anh from Le Quy Don high school was among the honorees: "I will try my utmost to keep my family happy. My family members often exchange opinions to search for the best solutions to any issues."

A cooking festival was held by the Quang Tri Women’s Union on Tuesday in Cua Viet town, Quang Tri province. Examplary families and individuals and the winners of a “Neat-handed family” cooking contest were honored at a National Family Day meeting held Wednesday in Hau Giang province; Ha Giang province has launched a communications campaign to reduce domestic violence. The Women’s Union and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province marked Vietnamese Family Day by co-organizing a meeting to honor filial piety.
