The report examines the opportunities of girls and women in 23 countries in Asia-Pacific. The Asia Girls’ Leadership Index is measured in six domains: education, health, economic opportunities, protection, political voice and representation and laws and policies.
Among 19 countries in Asia, Vietnam ranks 4th in general. Vietnam leads in law and policy along with the Philippines and Thailand. Vietnam ranks second in representation and political voice, led by Singapore.
The indexes of health and education of Vietnam improved compared to those published in 2020.
