(VOVworld) – Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day is marked throughout the country. The Ho Chi Minh City Business Association hosted a ceremony on Saturday morning to honor 87 individuals for their efforts to develop production, contributing to national economy, employment, and social welfare. Hoang Cao Tri, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Acecook Company, one of the most outstanding local businessmen, receives the award for 7 consecutive years: “Amidst economic difficulties, the award presentation ceremony provides us momentum to build our business and contribute to Vietnam’s economy. The duty of Vietnam Acecook Company is to create high quality products.”
At Saturday’s Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ forum in Hanoi, Vu Tien Loc, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said from now until next year, businesses still face numerous difficulties due to economic recession. He urged businesses to improve their competitiveness to adapt to a new business environment. Vo Thi Thanh, General Director of Thuan Thao Company in Phu Yen province, said businesses need to redefine their strategies, improve business management administration and minimize costs to cope with unstable macro-economy.
The Can Tho Young Entrepreneurs’ Association organized a program to celebrate Entrepreneurs’ Day. Nguyen Trung Kien, President of the Association said a wide range of activities will be held to help business introduce their products and expand their markets: “In the near future, we will continue to adopt policies of accessing new capital for companies, create a playground for entrepreneurs such as the tennis tournament, and raise charity funds for poor people and students in Can Tho. The Party and State trust in the young business people, so we will try our best to develop our businesses and contribute to national development.”
